Conditions We Treat

We treat many conditions that can cause acute and chronic pain. Scroll down to read more…

Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Herniated Disc

A herniated disc can cause debilitating back or neck pain. The disc contents can be squeezed toward the spinal canal to compress and irritate exiting nerves, causing pain that spreads from the back down the leg or the arm.

Arthritis of the Spine

Spine arthritis can go by many names… facet arthritis, spondylosis, facet arthropathy. With age, there is more wear and tear of the small joints that link each of the vertebrae in the spinal column.

Low Back Pain and Sciatica

Low back pain and sciatica pain can have many different causes, including herniated discs, facet joint arthritis, muscle pain, sacroiliac joint inflammation, and more.

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

In CRPS, a small injury can unleash a vicious cycle of pain in an extremity that becomes so severe to cause changes in blood flow and tissue regulation. The affected area can swell, change color, and muscles in that area can atrophy. Treatment is challenging and relies reversing the blood flow changes with sympathetic nerve blocks, implantable spinal cord stimulation, and even ketamine infusions.

Headaches

Headaches can have many different causes, from tension headaches, migraines, nerve damage, or even cervical spine arthritis. We offer many different treatments including botox injections, occipital nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and more.

Trigeminal Neuralgia and Other Facial Pain

Trigeminal neuralgia is an excruciating neuropathic pain that affects the jaw and lower face. It is described as burning and stabbing that can be so severe that chewing difficult. We offer different treatments for this condition including nerve blocks, medications, and neurolysis.

Pelvic Pain

Chronic pelvic pain can affect many aspects of living including sexual activity, using the bathroom, and even sitting. We can work with your gynecologist and offer innovative treatments including novel medications, pelvic floor injections, botox, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, sympathetic nerve blocks, and even spinal cord stimulation.

Shingles Pain/ Postherpetic Neuralgia

When shingles occurs, the rash and blisters can be itchy, burning, and painful, presenting as a band that stretches across the band or abdomen. When usual management fails, we can offer a special nerve block called an intercostal nerve block to target the source of pain.

Tendonitis

Tendon inflammation causes conditions like golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow, and Achilles tendonitis. This can be debilitating for athletes and musicians. We can offer regenerative treatments with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell that is introduced with ultrasound-guidance to help jump-start the normal healing process, improve function, and reduce pain.

Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic pain results from chronic nerve damage or inflammation. It feels burning, lancinating, or crushing, distinguishing it from other types of pain. There are many causes including conditions like diabetes and rheumatologist conditions. We offer treatments ranging from nerve blocks and ultrasound-guided injections to spinal cord stimulation

Joint Pain

Arthritis affects over 50 million Americans. There are a wide range of treatments we offer for joint arthritis, from medications and steroid injections to regenerative medicine with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy.

Post-Surgical Pain

Surgery is supposed to be a permanent solution, but occasionally back pain will still linger after a back surgery, or knee pain after a knee replacement. When the pain gets to be severe, we offer treatments ranging from nerve blocks and epidurals to spinal cord stimulation for refractory cases.
