Dr. Zhu is a board-certified anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine. He trained at Yale, New York-Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Hospital for Special Surgery. From 2018-2022, he built his own practice in Greenwich, CT, working at Greenwich Hospital. He was nominated to the list of Top Doctors in Fairfield County for 2022 by Greenwich Magazine, Stamford Magazine, and Westport Magazine. In 2022, Dr. Zhu relocated to Woodland Anesthesiology where he works at the Connecticut Surgery Center and Lighthouse Surgery Center to provide Pain Management in Avon, East Hartford, Farmington, and Hartford.

Dr. Zhu has a special interest in treating challenging cases including cancer-related pain and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a rare debilitating pain disorder.
